The Archdeacon's Charge & Picnic
An annual sponsored fun run, walk and family picnic open to everyone.
The Archdeacon's Charge is a fun way to raise money for your local church, school or youth group as well as supporting the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
In 2019, the Charge will be taking place on Saturday 18 May at Sandringham Park.
The event has grown each year and includes a variety of activities for all the family. There is also a range of fefreshments available throughout the day.
The 2018 fun run course was 5km long and participants were able to choose their favoured number of laps. For those who preferred to walk, there was a route around the beautiful lake. A 5km fun run/walk will also be a feature of next year's Charge.
The event was founded in 2010 by the Ven John Ashe, Archdeacon of Lynn. The East Anglian Air Ambulance has been very close to Archdeacon John's heart after they saved his wife's life following a serious car accident in 2009 when she was airlifted from the crash scene. Since its inception the event has raised over £110,000, half of which has been donated to the Air Ambulance.

Raising money for your church, school or youth group
The Archdeacon's Charge is a great way to raise money for your local church, school or youth group. When you purchase a ticket in advance we will email you a welcome pack and sponsorship forms to print out.
Sponsorship money raised by participants goes to the Diocese of Norwich (Charity No. 249318) who allocate 50% toward the Parish Share request of the local church (or to the school or youth group of the participant’s choice) and 50% to East Anglian Air Ambulance (Charity No. 1083876). Entry charges go to the Diocese to cover the event costs.
